| Abstract/Description |
Thought this was TVCs as it said on the box, but instead contains some complete act footage. Bear act first. This might be filmed in Russia – it’s not clear – but there has just been a brief bit of Russian. So possibly the “compile” refers to the acts selected for Edgley for the Asian tour? Is this the Varavoi bears? Bear on Russian bar. Bear on tightrope. No footage of bear on motorcycle like the picture in post-94 Asian programme/90 Aus, programme. The aerial troupe looks like the one in the programme for the Australian tour 89-90. Plate juggling. There is footage of some nearly complete acts but there are also some edits. The perch balancers from 89-90 programme look rather lovely. Has double aerial act Marina Petrova and Vladimir Myolovski (Aus 90), teeterboard acrobats with a clown in Russian costumes – there is picture of these in Aus. 90 programme – these mght be the Ivanovs or possibly the Vladimir Garamov Group? Also the Chernyauskis (perch balancers Aus. 90)– hand balance on high platform that revolves). Act that follows this might also be the Chernyauskis in another performance – here they are doing perch, then another clip ascending on ladder with girl balancing en pointe on partners head – she falls off at end of this – quick cut – to more footage of these performers in yet another clip. In these clips there are two men and a female. Then clip of Sergei Tereschenko Group (AUS90). Again this tape is a compilation of clips from different performances. |
