Street Scene. Rowdy Audience Spoils Play |
| Abstract/Description |
The presentation by the Dajonian Repertory Society at St James's Hall last night of Elmer Rices realistic Pulitzer Prize play Street Scene was a praiseworthy effort. On the whole it was a well balanced performance especially when the unusual length of the cast is taken into consideration. Unfortunately, the play, which has some intensely emotional moments was practically spoiled for many by the extreme rowdiness of some in the audience who frequently burst into bolsteious laughter and applause. |
