| Title |
A Theatre for the Very Young People. Sydney Borrows Ideas from Moscow |
| Abstract/Description |
A RECENT article in the Women's Supplement ... inspired Miss Rosemary Benjamin to pioneer a similar idea in Sydney. At 9 Hamilton Street, the headquarters of her Young People's Theatre, Miss Benjamin has begun in modest fashion, using her studio on Fridays, from 12 noon to 8 p.m., as a modern children's play-room. Here mothers who wish to go shopping "park" their youngsters, and those who have tried it estify that it is a "wonderful help." This nucleus, it is hoped, will develop into something really signiƱcant, with centres at picked spots in the city. |
