Abstract/Description J. C. WILLIAMSON LTD or 'The Firm,' as It Is sometimes known, has been catering for the theatre-going public of Australia for quite a long time, In fact, the associations go right back to 1879, when J. C. Williamson himself first started out as a theatrical entrepreneur in partnership with one Arthur Garner. Later on George Musgrave came in, but he and Garner drew out towards the beginning of the present century when the firm was beginning to firmly find its feet.
