Abstract/Description A new interpretation of Shakespeare's Lear aims to 'grab the white man's songline', writes Matthew Westwood. An old man decides to unburden himself of his property and divide it among his three daughters. Which daughter loves him the most? The two older daughters answer expediently and are rewarded; the third and youngest answers with her heart and is denied. Madness, retribution, tragedy and death ensue.
