Alec, one of the four talented Kellaway brothers is the third member of that famous family to appear in Australian films. Cecil starred in 'It Isn't Done' and is now standing by in Hollywood. Sylvia, wife of Jack Kellaway, has appeared in several films, and now Alec has completed feature roles In 'Let George Do It,' and 'The Broken Melody.' Alec is probably the most travelled of the Kellaway brothers. He has played in his native South Africa, in America, in England (where fortune permitted him to sleep on the Thames Embankment, and then plastered his name in big letters on West End Theatres), and he has toured the East. When he came to Australia nearly three years ago to play the Juvenile lead In 'The Merry Malones,' it was his second visit to Australia. |
