Abstract/Description Company-Winding up-Foreign company-"Unregistered company"-Jurisdiction to order winding up Companies Act 1928 (No. 3659), secs. 263, 264. On a petition for the winding up of a company formed and incorporated outside the State of Victoria, which as a company carrying on business within the State had complied with the requirements as to registration contained in sec. 270 of the Companies Act 1910: Held, the company was not, within the meaning of sec. 263 of the Companies Act 1928, a company registered under Part I. of that Act or any corresponding previous enactment, and therefore the Court had jurisdiction under see. 264 to order it to be wound up as an unregistered company.
