| Abstract/Description |
As one who saw "The Doll," performed by professionals, I do not hesitate to say that I preferred the performance of Repertory's amateurs in Richard Beynon's brilliant play, "The Shifting Heart." It must be numbered amongst Repertory's outstanding productions; producer, cast and stage-artistry (the latter must be called that) combined so effectively that the "first night" audience - always the critical "moment" of an any play - was firmly convinced that it was really viewing an excerpt from real life. |
