Collingwood speaks about working extensively for all major Sydney theatre companies and others inter-state (late 1960s-early 1970s); his job as artistic director of the Community Street Theatre at Killara, later Marian Street; Australian theatre identities (1960s-1970s); upon his return from England to Australia in 1972 the majority of his work then being in film and television; his work as assistant director through the final years of the Old Tote Theatre, Sydney; his acting roles in Australian theatre productions (1980s); British theatre productions performed in Australia; the decline of the Old Tote Theatre and the emergence of a new generation of directors (1980s); overseas and Australian actors with whom he had worked; his retirement.
