| Abstract/Description |
The Melbourne Worker's Theatre is a professional collective of perfomers and writers formed in 1987 to produce plays with and for trade unionists. It has widened its concerns to include other community groups such as indigeneous people, sex workers etc. It performs plays and music theatre in work places as well as convential theatre spaces. Writers and composers associated with the company include Andrew Bovell, John Romeril, Archie Weller, and Irene Vela. The large collection provides a detailed documentary history of the collective. |
