Adelaide University Theatre Guild founded in 1938 by University staff as an amateur group performing drama. Later the Group staged notable semi-professional productions in conjunction with the Australian Elizabethan Theatre Trust including premieres of plays by Patrick White (Ham funeral, Season at Sarsaparilla, Night on Bald Mountain). The collection covers the entire history of the Guild and its activities, though early records are patchy. |
