A return season for this Fringe Festival show. A riotously funny satire of Greek dramatic conventions, drama generally, the Greek world and especially Sophocles and Hippocrates, who in this version are two blokey blokes who wear togas and call each other ""mate"" a lot. Hippocrates has a thing for Sophocles's mum, while Sophocles is worried about showing her his new play, what with all that uncomfortable incest in the plot. It's a deeply silly piece, but energetically performed and tightly constructed. |
