Set in Fitzroy in 1997 and '98, at the height of Brit pop, A Fitzroy Romance is about the new life of two early twenty-somethings, Ben and Bron. Both are working dead-end jobs but socializing happily and often excessively. Life can be messy but is exciting too in their rented Westgarth Street house. When Bron is hit by a car on a country road, she becomes wheelchair dependent. Their carefree relationship then takes on a vastly different framework. |
