Description represented the reading of the scenario of a talkie at Hollywood. The director, with two American actors, and a young Englishman as "technical adviser," was attempting to produce a talkie, which should display the remunerative characteristics of a talkie "typically English." King John at Runnymede was to be the central figure, and the actors represented the barons and leading personages of the period. Having had It explained to them that "Maggie Carter" was not the person whom they thought she was, the Hollywood actors found themselves involved in New South Wales politics, and when Lang(don) advised King John to secure the revenue that he required by borrowing £500,000 from his Loan Council, and then repudiating it
