Circus opens on the 24 and continues over the Christmas holidays (dates unspecified). Performances change nightly. Tonight: "Ben Bolt (by Mr Hingler on Busephalus); double act of equestrianism "The Fairy Flight (Mr Ashton and Miss Irwin); Clown in the Ring; or, The Grimaldi of Modern Days" (Mr How); "Jumpers of Antwerp" (Mungo Mungo and Alcamy - Indigenous performers); "The Pride of the Valley" (Miss Irwin on Shamrock) the pony Daniel O'Connell who will jump through fire balloons and hoops; and, "The Roman and his Pupils" (Mr Ashton will carry Miss Ashton and Mungo Mungo singly and together). |
