| Description |
The main characters in Breath of Spring are approaching what one says delicately is "the teatime of life" and their boredom and frustrations are evident in their behaviour. The elderly folks' lives change when Bea's maid Lily, recently released from jail, steals a fur cape from the next-door flat as an appreciative gift for her employer. With military precision, Bertie plans an operation for returning the fur, making use of the talents of the superannuants. They find the experience so exhilarating that they begin stealing furs from the super-rich to raise funds for charities Bea supports. |
