A musical suggested by Edmund Rostand's Les Romanesques. "A parable about love". Two young neighbours act out Roeo and Juliet over the garden wall between their houses. Their parents humour them by creating the illusion they are bitter enemies. the lovers discover the deception and separate to seek love elsewhere, but return to eachother's arms, realizing they cannot escape from reality through illusion. |
