| Description | Opening the night is Klare Kuolga, a passionate singer from the central Nebilyer Valley region of Papa New Guinea, home of her native Ulga people. Klares music is a unique mixture of languages and sounds from the western highlands region of PNG, the traditional flavours of Melanesia and the Pacific with jazz, blues, R&B and funk. The band Wanpela (one people) comprises Klare on vocals, Rolando Fernandez on keyboards, Steve Burgess on bass, Mark Finter on guitar, Jason on drums and two exuberant dancers from Papa New Guinea. For a hip-shaking finale, Africa Savana is a seven piece dance group |
