Set in Jay Bunyan's native West Auckland, the central character in The Packer is Shane, a lost youth battling to find love in a depressing environment. Bunyan plays a number of diverse characters, including a depressive drunk mother, tarty ex-girlfriend, angry drag queen and a best mate who is hiding his sexuality. |
