Description In 1979, the company was commissioned by the Teatro Eliseo of Rome and the Teatro Nazionale of Milan to mount a production of the well-loved Shakespearean classic, "A Midsummer Night's Dream". It won the first prize in the Belgrade festival (1981). Kemp's version broadly follows Shakespeare's own, and the music is eclectic, ranging from Elvis Presley to Mendelssohn, supplemented by original music by Carlos Miranda. The settings are vivid, the costumes are extravagant and in some cases, non-existent. Kemp's "A Midsummer Night's Dream" is definitely not for the prudish or the feint-hearted.
