The work is a homage/parody of the “Kitchen Sink Drama” Genre, Pop Culture and 1950’s “Women’s Movies”, and runs for no longer than 50 minutes in its entirety.
It explores the many moods of the archetypical 1950’s “Stepford-esque” housewife, in her endlessly repetitive aim for perfection and quest to find joy and meaning in her mindless chores: To Keep the house (and children) clean and ordered, To prepare a charming gourmet meal each night, and to be the perfect doting wife for her absent husband, who should be due home from work….any moment now! |
