| Description |
Soans immersed himself in the culture and politics of israel and Palestine before writing the play. What follows is a collage of voices: people discussing their lives, often while preparing a special dish. A cafe owner makes hummus, but laments the roadblocks that prevent people enjoying it; a Palestinian mother remembers the last meal her son ate before b king killed in a mortar attack; a woman goes back to retrieve her shopping from a bombed supermarket and is haunted by what she sees. |
