  					Perhaps never again in our lifetime will we have the opportunity in New Zealand of meeting and hearing two such authorities of the theatre. Martin Browne is considered the foremost authority within the British Empire on the Poetic Plays and is No. 1 Broadcaster for the BBC of plays, talks and poetry readings. Founder and Director of the famous Pilgrim Players, the first travelling company in war time, 1939 - 45. He has been Director of the British Drama League since 1948, and is at present producing the York Mystery Plays for the Festival of Britain. Miss Henzie Raeburn (Mrs Martin Browne) is an actress, broadcaster and authoress of 'Pilgrim Story'. She is an accomplished speaker and assists Martin Browne in his public lectures, where acted excerpts are used to illustrate the points of the lectures. |
