Description Commissioned by the NZ Broadcasting Corporation, which asked for a play about 'a figure that strongly influenced New Zealand's history', for performance during 1969, the bi-centenary year of Cook's first Pacific voyage. Set in London, 1871, and at Paihia and Waitangi, Bay of Islands, NZ, 1833- 1835 & 1871.
