Description Stark evokes the fascinating, tumultous life and career of Freda Stark, a dancer who toured New Zealand in the 1930s and 1940s. In 1935, Stark found herself at the centre of a scandal when Thelma Marco, 'the love of her life' was killed by Marco's husband.
