| Description |
Poster featured picture of John Leigh in spectacles, with the words 'I dither' written repeatedly over him in red ink. Catchphrase: A bloody good night out. Director's programme note: The aim of this production has been to present the play in a clear, concise and theatrically exciting manner for young people with little knowledge or prior experience of Shakespeare…. The play is not set in any historical period. Our style is 'eclectic' in that the charctaer develop aloong their own peculair and particular pathweays. This eclectic quality relfects the universailty of the play - the centuries of theatrical tradition underlying it - and is also essentially modern. We love in an ecelecti age, with a constant barrage of surreally disassociated ijmages and contexts, through television, radio, advertising and film. BATS archive. |
