| Description |
Lord depicts the alienation of individuals in a fragmented society… It is set in the American apartment-land of Neil Simon. The tone of the play has become more realistic and more conventionally 'comedy of neuroses'. The characters revealingly accuse each other of being totally self-oriented, and of behaving like children. The two aspects are drawn together by Pat's entire absorption in constructing a kite that is anything but a child's plaything while the other three do their best to destroy each other and the kite.
