the Mayor of Sydney (Mr. Sydney Burdekin, J.P.,) ascended the platform with the famous organist by his side, and when the applause had died away very briefly introduced " our friend, Mr. Best," who, in turn, recognised the cordiality of his reception with bows to every side and at once took his seat upon the organ- bench. |
