					| Description |
The action of the play takes a place in the boiler room of a dye factory and spans a period of about 6 weeks. Eh? was first produced by the Royal Shakespeare Company at the Aldwych Theatre, London, in 1964. In 1966 it was an "off-broadway" success. In this farce the author examines the effect of industrial automation on modern mass man. However, Valentine Brose, the heroic anti-hero, is unaffected by electronic button pushing. He remains refreshingly individualistic, a man whom no machine, man or woman can tame. |
