Description The first opera was about a Celestial Prince who makes love to and wins two of the wives of the Emperor of the Sun and Moon. The second piece appeared to be the representation of another and different phase of Chinese customs in which the same immoral Prince was rendering the state some service by slaughtering insurgents by the dozen.

Further Information Article indicates that the present theatrical company at Abbott's Lyceum intend entering into an arrangement for the "Celestials" to perform at the Lyceum. Another article says the troupe are about to erect a huge Circus or Theatre on the site previously occupied by an other company, near the rear of the Halfway House, at the First White Hill.
