The play was a Broadway success and has won applause on both sides of the Atlantic. Its first London performance was in the Lyric Theatre two years ago, with Ronald Shiner cast as one of the angels. It is a Christmas story set in French Guiana where Yuletide festivities are attended by a temperature of 104 degrees, and three striped angels.
