ATTIS THEATRE was founded five years ago by Theodoros Terzopoulos in Athens. Euripides Bacchae was first performed at the Ancient Theatre of Delphi during the second international conference of Ancient Greek Drama and has, since toured all over Europe, USA, Russia and Japan. In Terzopoulos' theatre, myth is not a fairytale, but compressed thickened experience. The rehearsal process is not the execution of dramaturgy but an adventure in the journey to the landscape of remembrance, a search to the lost keys to the unity of body and text, to the world as a physical entity. |
