Description CLOSE OF REGULAR SEASON. Given the standard performance pattern and the fact that Levey advertises that "THE PROPRIETOR very respectfully informs his Friends, that the season of the present temporary THEATRE will CLOSE at the end of next week, after which, it will be open for the BENEFITS of the PERFORMERS." it is likely that a performance occurred on this date. The is no apparent newspaper record of the performance - but absence of evidence is not evidence of absence.

Further Information Standard performances were Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Benefits during May were on Wednesday. The decision to continue regular performances during Benefit season was a poor one by Levey as there was clearly not sufficient business to justify them cometing with Benefits - as the record of poor attendances shows.
