Description The Theatre was again opened on Monday night, when the Village Lawyer and Monsieur Tonson were performed to a well filled house ... A gentleman introduced an aboriginal black for
the first time into the Theatre on Monday night, the play performing was Monsieur Tonson, at which he was so delighted that he threw himself on the floor and twisted his body into a thousand contortions in an agony of laughter. Hs idea of the piece was, that Monsieur Tonson was one jolly fine fellow and had two gins, and wore a tail like a lobster.
