“On Wednesday, June 1st, Portland is to be visited by a company of the famous Blind Entertainers, in the Free Library Hall. Most of this talented company are making a first appearance here and represent the last word in the modern training of the blind. The management of the Institute has not been able to send any of the members of its famous Blind Orchestra to the country before, but as so many requests have been made by citizens throughout the State for these artists to visit their centres, it had at last decided to comply with the demand.” |
