Description "At 8 sharp, the Musical, Farcical, Whimsical, Burlesque Comedy in two acts; THE BROOK."

"SYNOPSIS
Act 1 - Ante-room, Shrewby's Villa. The night of a masquerade ball. Shrewby's trials and troubles. The ... nephews. Plot and counterplot. All's fair in love. Cards, horses, billiards, and bigamy. A due to death. An awful disaster. The wounded lovers. Consternation and explanations. During this act will be introduced Harry P. Cogill, singing "That is love." Chas. W. Cogill will also tell "What is love." Clarence Lyndon, in his character specialty. Excelsior Medley, by Chas. W. and Harry P. Cogill, Harry Hodson, and Misses Roberts and Saroni and Company. Grand chorus and finale "The Silvery Moon," with beautiful moonlight effects.

Act 2 - The Brook, the picnic. A lovely spot, spreading the lunch. A Gipsy life. A flashing episode, "I've got 'I'm, no I haven't." Begged. No wood, "Couldn't find any wood." The picnickers off to look for the rest of the party. Arrival of Doodles, he feels off, very much off; he sees ... no gorges. Discovered. Dismay of the party. No watermelon, but theatrical wardrobe. Grand Medley, "Bric-a-Brac," by entire company. Doodles joins the picnic. A capital idea."
