Description Act 1 - Miss Abby's Sitting-room
Act 2 - Rock Bottom Farm
Act 3 - The Barn. Songs, Dances, &c
Act 4 - The Fair. The Race.

"A truthful picture of "Yankee" country life and character, phrased in that quaint and irresistibly humourous idiom that has been made proverbial by such men as James Russell Lowell and Mark Twain.

The Race Scene.

Here is the spectacle realised for the first time upon the stage, that is positively startling in its effect, of a real race actually run by real horses a half-mile distance, and at record speed, in full view of the audience. By means of the wonderful mechanism brought into requisition, the horses never leave the view nor for a moment relax their terrific speed, and the public ightly experience all the sensation and exhilaration of witnessing a fine example of that most admired of all our noble sports."
