Melbourne City Ballet takes audiences on a journey to Verona, Italy to tell William Shakespeare’s most famous tale of two noble families, the Montagues and Capulets, who struggle to maintain peace due to their long term rivalry. When Capulet’s daughter Juliet and Montague’s son Romeo, have a chance meeting during an annual Capulet Ball, an attraction grows between the two which leads to the most purest of love. A love that is forbidden and must be kept hidden. |
