The High Sierra Jazz Band, direct from California, is one of the most travelled and sought after group. North and South America, Great Britain and Europe have all played host to this very popular band. Their repertoire features mostly the traditional tunes, with partiality being shown to Jelly Roll Moran. Bix Beiderbecke, King Oliver, Armstrong, Williams and Handy - but their numbers also include some of Lu Watters and Turk Murphy. A band of tremendous audience appeal, with eight albums and an unaccounted festivals to back their claim to fame. Bob founded his own band in 1974, and has toured South East Asia, Britain, Europe and the USA. He has worked with with some of America's jazz greats: Wild Bill Davison, Dick Carey, Bud Freeman and many others. Recently he worked with Kenny Davern, Dick Wellstood and George Masso on a movie soundtrack. |
