| Description |
Three one-act plays contrasting in theme marked the final production of one-act plays by the company for 1939. Leonard Hine's 'The Exiles' depicting the nostalgic yearning of two English spinsters living abroad to avoid income tax repayments; a simple play of simple things was 'Gold' in which the moral stressed by the author M. Creagh-Henry was in keeping with the adage all is not gold that glitters; Morton Howard's comedy 'With Variations' was interpreted along broad lines. |
