First Australian performance of Dioclesian. masque music or semi-opera. In the second part of the programme the choristers sang stirringly the fifteenth century Agincourt Song and whimsically Bobby Shaftoe, a North Country folksong. Soloists in sixteenth century Schumann and Hebridearr songs mostly concentrated rather on expression than vocal technique. |
