The exhibition is a documentation of an epic journey by a small band of adventurers to the remote and isolated Australian sub-Antarctic territory, Heard Island, 4,000 kms south-west of Perth and only 1,500 kms from the Antarctic mainland. The island is dominated by a 3,000 metre still smouldering volcano; winds on the island gusted to 150 km/hr and the temperature dropped to -20'C |
