Second year student production. Margaret Atwood describes The Penelopiad, the result of many incarnations of an ancient story, as ‘an echo of an echo of an echo’.
This is the result of a highly collaborative process in which the echoes of a mythic story have emerged through a very physical process. Working with group devised techniques, and stepping outside the conventions of ‘actor, script, director’,this performance has been facilitated with a focus on the potential the actors have for discovering, creating and refining scenes.
