The project is designed to put Australia's composers - from the whole of the 20th century - into the spotlight. Open to instrumentalists under 30 and singers under 35, the competition will take place in April/May 2001, culminating in a Grand Final at Australia House on May 9. It is the first time that Australian compositions have formed the basis of an international music performance competiton.
A reception with performances will be held to launch the competition. |
