Second son of John Philip Deane, made his public debut in one of his father's concerts in 1830, At just 12 years of age, new to Sydney, he played in the first Australian public performance of a Beethoven string quartet. In 1858, he advertised as "Professor of the Pianoforte, Violin, Guitar, and Concertina". |
