| Notes |
Bert Howard (aka the Droll” and “Lord Mayor of Poverty Point”) worked for Harry Rickards, Harry Clay and J.C. Bain in his early career. Around 1910 he began exhibiting films in the Sydney suburbs while also involving himself in the boxing industry. He later established a booking agency and his own vaudeville circuit (occasionally joining forces with other managers). Howard was associated with agent James H. White in the late 1920s, and continued showing vaudeville, pantomime and pictures in Sydney and New South Wales into the early 1930s. (Djubal Clay) |
