Abstract/Description Young theatre hopeful, Fanny Brice, has a dream to one day perform on Broadway. Only her mother believes she can succeed in show business. But when her hilarious debut as a Ziegfeld Follies’ chorus girl attracts attention, a dazzling career seems inevitable… FUNNY GIRL launched the career of Barbra Streisand, with the original Broadway production receiving eight Tony Award nominations in 1964. Directed by acclaimed Director Gary Young, FUNNY GIRL returns to the stage with a contemporary approach to the classic 60s musical. Starring the extraordinary Caroline O’Connor of CHICAGO fame, FUNNY GIRL features the great tunes: Don’t Rain on My Parade, People, and You are Woman, I am Man.
