Domestic Intelligence [The Theatre] |
| Abstract/Description |
The Theatre was opened, on Wednesday night, to an overflowing house, when the Drama of Black-eyed Susan was performed.
In the 2d Act, the hornpipe introduced by William (Mr. Meredith), which had hitherto been omitted, had considerable effect. William (Mr. Meredith), Captain Crosstree (Mr. Cooper), Gnatbrain (Mr.
Vale), and Doggrass (Mr. Buckingham), were peculiarly happy in their parts. The afterpiece was the Tale of Mystery, in which the pas seul by Mrs. Weston, introduced for the first time, was deservedly encored. |
