Title |
The Drama |
Abstract/Description |
An article which endorses the work of Lazar and supports theatre "which the most strict and rigid decorum, marks the conduct of the establishment. And that nothing is seen within its walls, to offend the nicest sense of propriety. For ourselves we are of opinion that a well conducted Theatre is a source of national benefit. " To hold the mirror up to nature, and shew the very body of the time its form and pressure"—is in our judgment a creditable effort." |
