Without any preliminary fuss or boom, the doors of the Strand Picture Theatre, Pitt-street, were quietly opened last Wednesday
evening, and the public invited to enter. Mr. C. W. Fraser (of the Fraser Film Exchange) does not explain why he started so quietly, but he seems pleased with the results. The Strand Is a beautifully-fltted theatre, and the management is keen on having pictures, of a character commensurate with the tone of the place. |
